Rabe Schuyler Johnson (a 21 year old gay West Texan boy) known as Shy to a few and as Hey You to many others could not be sure of much in this life but he was sure of one dang thing – he had a motto and he was going to live by that motto, come heck or the creek rising, and that live-by motto was – it’s all about freedom, baby! Yup. There it was! Free was what he was all about, free was how he rolled, how he rock-n-rolled that is, but free did NOT help him none when an unfortunate midafternoon visit by an ancient Greek god in the parking lot of his neighborhood mall JUST AS Rabe was on his way towards a serious (and pre-planned and pre-strategized) impromptu binge of bottomless margarita-partaking at an out-of-the-way Mexican place in the food court, well, WHEN that epiphanic, deific intervention OCCURRED on his behind (in a BIG way) (we’re talking LARGE people), well, as that happened Rabe had to sit up and take notice (if not roll on his back and show his belly also), so, yeah, things got real, real quick in Rabe’s world. And it turns out Rabe’s picture-perfect gay Texan life was not all he’d supposed it to be. Nor his motto. And the Universe was a heck of a lot more sarcastic and mean than he’d ever been taught in Sunday School. So follow Rabe as he’s played with (painfully) (and casually) by a bored Universe that maybe ITSELF is just out day drinking and looking for some action and something to feel and happens to find an innocent RABE to experiment and epiphany-ate on. Go ahead! Read it! We dare you! We double dare you!
